Returns

We will accept returns up to 30 days from your purchase date. If more than 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we can’t accept your return.
Please do not send any items back to the manufacturer. If we sold it to you we’ll process the return.

In order for us to take anything back, it must comply with ALL of the following.

  1. be unused
  2. be in its original condition
  3. be in its original packaging

Items may also be returned if they are found to be defective. Please contact us if you find a defect in an item, and we’ll arrange for replacement or refund.

A few things can NOT be returned:

  1. Consumable stuff, like hand lotions or wool washes
  2. Dated materials like magazines or books
  3. Sale items
  4. Downloadable items like patterns or how-to e-books

Gift cards may not be returned for cash.

Please contact us by email or telephone before you send anything back. We’ll need a receipt or some proof of purchase before we can process your return. We want your experience with Over The Rainbow Yarn to be great, so if you have any questions or concerns about our policies, or you want to make suggestions for how we could change them to make our interactions better, please contact us by email or telephone.

Refunds

Once we’ve heard from you and decided together that your item should be returned, this is what happens next

  1. We’ll have you send it back to us. You will be responsible for all shipping charges
  2. We’ll notify you that we’ve received your item.
  3. We’ll look it over to make sure it’s in its original condition and original packaging, and that your receipt or other proof of purchase is in order.
  4. We’ll notify you that we accept or deny your return.
  5. We’ll process a charge back to your credit card, or a refund through your original method of payment.
  6. We’ll notify you that we have initiated your refund within 7 days of the date we receive your item.

If you haven’t received your refund through your original payment gateway in a reasonable amount of time, contact your credit card company or original payment gateway first. It can take some time for them to process a return. If your credit card company or other original payment gateway is unable to tell you the status of your refund, please contact us via email or telephone.

Gifts

If you received an item that was marked as a gift when it was purchased, and we shipped it directly to you, you may return it if it fits all the criteria above. If we determine that the item may be returned, we’ll issue a gift certificate to Over The Rainbow Yarn for the value of your item.

As we mentioned above, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs can not be refunded. We will not accept returns that are shipped COD (cash on delivery) or otherwise have any unpaid balance.

Shipping times will vary depending on where you live. Timing for refunds will be based on when we receive your returned item rather than when you sent it. You’ll be responsible for items in transit. We’ll only accept responsibility for an item when it comes through our door. If you’re returning something with a value over $50, please consider using a trackable service or purchasing insurance.
